I've been maintaining and updating this list for about 10 years now. I've tried to make it as user friendly as 
possible. I just want to help get the word out where drum circles are. Hopefully there is one near you to check 
out, or if you travel somewhere, it will help you find one. Just trying to put some good out in the world. 

These drum circle listings are alphabetically listed by state. Just click below on the state you're interested 
in, and it will jump to it. All of these are correct to the best of my knowledge, & they are updated monthly.

I try my best to make this the most complete, and up to date drum circle list on the web, and thanks for all the

Clearwater Beach Drum Circle - Weekly Saturday Nights 9pm - 11pm
Located next to Pier 60, Clearwater Beach, FL  
Free parking at the city parking lots off Mandaly aft. 6 Pm. (Parking at the pier lot is like $10)
Drumming starts around 9 PM on the north side of Pier 60, down by the water near the life guard shack, 
or at the the pavilion. When the band leaves the pavilion (around 9:00) it move up there. Sadly, this 
circle was fading away after like 15 years. It is now slowly making a comeback, as of July 2009. 
There is usually a few fire spinners down by the shack, and they like it when some drummers show up. 
Even if there is only a few drummers out there, it's still fun to drum to the fire dancers, poi, etc.

Clearwater Beach Drum Circle Page

Treasure Island Beach Drum Circle - Weekly Sundays
(This is a A very big freestyle drum circle!) Starts several hours before sunset. 
The summer curfew is in effect as of March 8, 2009 - the circle ends at 10PM, until November 1st 2009,
when it reverts back to 9pm due to the daylight savings time.

Coconuts Clearwater Drum Circle. It looks like this one is another casulty of the economy, it seems. 
Unfortunately, the Coconuts Clearwater drum circle closed recently, and there is no plans to re-locate it.
I left the link to the page up, because of all the bellydancing photos, videos, and good memories we had there. 
We celebrated many holidays and special events at that circle, and even beautiful things like the birth of a child 
"Gabriela Gaia" by two in our group who fell in love at our drum circle. That's kind of romantic, don't you think? 
But sometimes sad things have to be addressed on drum circle night. A musician friend of ours suddenly passed away, 
so we held a drum circle wake there in memory of him. There is a tribute page, and lots more. Please have a look.

Located in the Carrollwood/Citrus Park area at 6201 Lynn Rd, one street north of Linebaugh, off of Anderson Road.
Starts at 6:15, with a drum class/workshop that ends around 7:15. The circle gets jumping at 7:30 & jams till 9PM. 
The drum workshop fee is $10, which includes a drum circle donation. All other donations gladly accepted!
It's a beautiful venue, with awesome acoustics. We play indoors in air-conditioned comfort.
Plenty of free parking. A limited supply of loaner drums are available.

Our monthly circle, the Second Sunday Drum Circle is in Crystal River turning west of Hwy 44 
(aka Ft. Island Trail Rd) at Grannies Restaurant off Hwy 19. Go to the end of the road, about 8 miles 
and the beach is on the left. We gather near or at the last picnic shelter on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

We are the oldest circle here, going on 25-30 yrs Our current group is a core of us who've been drumming together 
over 10yrs. Many of us are in the entertainment biz, musicians, artists and dancers. All are welcome. We play in 
an area that is surrounded by Mountain terrain, with views of Redrock Canyon, which is 30 min. outside of the city. 
Just being in this beautiful setting, evokes a magical feeling. Add in the drums, and you have the makings of a 
wonderful experience, away from the city and casinos. We are a free-form drumming and healing circle community.

We usually play for a couple of hours, has been in existence for over 3 years. 
Some occasional extended special events around solstice times, camping in the woods.

player, over 60 drummers, and 7 belly dancers in there. It was a drumming and dancing good time!





Need Some Free Drum Circle Advice?

If you live out of the Florida area, and need some advice, suggestions, ideas, or anything at all about hosting 
any form of drum circle, I am more than happy to try and help you along. Even if you arn't sure what kind of drum 
might be right for you, or your group, just email me and I will try to help you out. I don't actually sell drums, 
but I do have years of experience with most major brands, styles, and retailers. I can recommend the places to you 
I buy mine from. If you are wanting to host or facilitate drum circles, this art form has evolved a lot in the last 
10 years alone. Art can be very subjective. There used to be only one or two widely accepted ways to facilitate drum 
circles. Now there are dozens of styles all around the country, and around the world. 

look at the way MMA (mixed martial arts) has evolved. It used to be if you were proficient at Judo, Karate, wrestling, 
or some other disipline, just being an expert at one style left most at a disadvantage. The ones who are the most 
well rounded in all the different styles do the best now in mixed martial arts. And drum circle facilitation is similar 
in this way. We have all these different cultures that each have their own style of drumming, and ways of group drumming.
So in my opinion, the way to become the best, is to try and learn from as many facilitators as possible. (Not just one) 
And also learn as many cultural styles as possible, so you can be more well rounded in your skills, and work with any 
group under any circumstances. Try to study, or study with as many professionals as you can. The learning process should 
never end, because we are in an ever evolving field. Your style that you develop can be uniquly yours, a combination of 
the best of all of them. It takes a lot of work to be a good facilitator that understands group dynamics, and musicality.
